General Information
- The classes
are on-going (you attend month to month).
Payment for the next month is due the 4th week of the previous month.
- An interview and audit of the class is necessary for admission. There is no pressure. The interview is a simple discussion with Scott-Arthur. He will discuss with you your goals and dreams and explain in detail the workings of the class. All audits of the Workshop are free.
- There is no make-up class for missed classes for any reason. You will be given an extra reading and or prepared scene.
- Please
turn off all beepers, cell phones etc. during the class.

BEGINNERS WELCOME
As artists, we believe there is an artist in each of us. Scott-Arthur’s approach to acting is that you do not teach someone to act. It is a God given ability that we are born with. He tells beginning actors that they have everything within them that they will ever need to do any scene or character. What they don’t have is confidence in their ability. And the way you develop this confidence is through practice. The more you practice something, the more confident you become in doing it. And then when you become more confident, your work will improve the next time you perform. Practice breeds confidence. Confidence breeds better work and this has been the key to Scott-Arthur Allen’s success with a wide variety of actors and performers over the years. Even some former students who went on to become doctors, lawyers and other professionals attest to his workshop as their first step to building the confidence and communication skills to go forward to greater success in life.
Our classes not only cover Scott-Arthur’s basic technique of acting, but also the basics of life and how this relates to the art of acting and to everything we do as human beings.
The Creative Actors Workshop is exactly what it says it is – a Workshop. Acting is the most under-worked craft. In most workshops, the actor is fortunate if they get to perform one piece of work in class. With the Creative Actors you will perform a minimum of two pieces of work per class and in some cases three. Again, the more practice you can get per class is going to determine your growth as an actor. Cold readings are an important part of every session. This is the weakest feature of most actors. The mastery of cold readings will make the difference in the advancement of a career. In summary the actor will perform a cold reading and one memorized scene or monologue per class.
